Why to use KDE dialup I have to be ROOT?

I just instaled KDE (GNOME had a problem with Nautilus). Is there a way to be able to use Kppp Internet dial up whitout entering the root password? Change permissions but how?

you need to make the pppd daemon (and chat program IIRC) suid root

chown root `which pppd`
chmod +s `which pppd`

that should do it.
