ignore this-system won't let me delete it
I am attempting to upgrade Red Hat kernel 2.2 to 2.4.
- I have downloaded several files to my vfat, "C" disk, and then started Linux and mounted my vfat to /mnt/windows/temp/Linux-2.4. - When I try to copy any of these files over to a Linux directory I get: "KFM ERROR - Could not write file /usr/src/linux-<filename> - Perhaps access denied" - Also, when I type "/bin/chmod go+w /mnt/windows/temp/Linux-2.4/<filename>" on any of the files in the vfat partition, the permissions do not change. - What the heck is wrong? |
