Whitehat linux garbled text


ok, i have a problem with whitehat linux, all the font's on the mintor is garbled and you can't read it as soon as it starts to boot, it's unread able...

eg you get

Grub Load....

Then a bit of text after that, then when it starts boot procedure you can't make any of it out

any ideas ?

if i login remotely via SSH then it looks fine, just on the monitor it doesn't

Have you tried enabling framebuffer support in the kernel? I believe this is the typical solution for your problem. Another method would be to go to your grub.conf file and comment out the line that points to the splash image. Either one of those solutions should work. I hope this helps!

This resolved the problem!

Also, appending splash=silent to the GRUB kernel line for WhiteHat Linux should have helped.
