White square in top left hand corner of Konqueror

This is really bugging me! When I open Konqueror there is a blank white square that appears in the top left hand corner. It is over top of the forward and back buttons and I cannot click them. I am running Knoppix v3.6 installed to the harddrive. I have a screen shot but I haven't posted it because I can't upload it here. Does anyone know what is going on? What should I do to fix it?
