I've been using Ubuntu. And.. I don't really like how it's working out. I would like to find a Debian based distro (i like debian's packaging system). But I really don't know which one to download. I would be using it for mainly the desktop enviorment; and I don't want anything too extremely difficult to install.
Kubuntu? I can't think of other but what do you like about the package manager? If it's the simplicity then that's old news, most distros have good package managers that are just as easy to use these days.
Well, Ubuntu is Debian based (Kubuntu is just Ubuntu with KDE). If you like Debian based, why not go for Debian itself? It's not as hard as a lot of people make it out to be...
Mepis or Kanotix might be other good debian based that I've checked out. You can also go to distrowatch and do a search for debian based distros, though you'll get a lot of results.
It's hard to give good suggestions though since you don't say why you don't want to keep with ubuntu
I would advise not switching distros unless you know that your issues are specific to the one you are using. You can wind up very frustated chasing issues that turn out to be generic.
Consider having several on you machine at once so you can compare.

If you like Debian based, try Debian. I would go for Debian Unstable (Etch), you can download a "net install" CD image from the Debian website. Debian is not as difficult as it used to be.
Having said that, what are your problems with Ubuntu? It is possible that we can help you sort them, since Ubuntu is an excellent distro IMO.
Pixellany's suggestion of multiple distros on one machine is a good idea, it can help you to compare them. I have some info Here about this, and you can search the forums and google for more info.
Thanks All. I've sorted out some of my problems with ubuntu. I think I'm just going to re-install it. I've kind-of messed it up a bit here and there, and everywhere. But yeah, I'll go download Debian too. I've got a few partitions to use up.
