Question which Distro provides kernel 3.2.2 and kde 4.8?

I've been trying out a couple distros now and somewhat frustrated that the latest kernel used was 3.0.1. I am looking for a distro, preferably using .deb packages or .rpm pakages and is using Kernel 3.2.2 and KDE 4.8. Any suggestions guys???

http://distrowatch.com/search.php

But I guess the bigger question is: Are you looking for a distro that has kernel 3.2.2 and KDE 4.8 specifically? (i.e. there is something magical about those versions) Or are you looking for a distro that provides them now but will move on to kernel 3.3, KDE 4.9, and so forth, when they're released?

If the latter is the case then I recommend a "rolling release" distro such as Arch.

Did you look at openSUSE Tumbleweed? Might be worth a look. Arch and Gentoo are generally close to the leading edge but don't use .deb or .rpm.

and are these using .rpm or .deb??? I'm a bit used to .deb packages though but I'm willing to give .rpm using distros a try.

Did you see the link I provided in post #2? (search by package version and distribution category)

Arch has its own package manager (pacman) that is perfectly tailored for a "rolling release" (always the latest software) distribution.
