I'm currently triple booting Mint Rebecca, PCLOS LXDE and Win10. Windows is there for the odd occasion when Libre Office is not sufficiently compatible with MS Office.

a very good looking desktop is deepin, you can also easily customize it to look almost like windows. you can run crossover on it to use ms office on it.

I'm sad to say that whilst my desktop is primarily linux, both at home and work, I am soon switching to different OS's.

I work at a DC and have enjoyed using Linux as it's just worked. Honestly haven't had to hack around that much to get EVERYTHING working as I like it; trust me, that's a big ask when you fully comprehend how much you need to interface with, from peripherals to OS's through various bastions.

Unfortunately, I am trying to simplify life at this moment and one of my woes is just how much better Office and some other proprietary apps integrate with their native OS's.

As such, at work I've moved to Windows 10 with the promise of Bash in the near future and Mac OSX at home because it shares the same accessibility as Windows to proprietary apps.

I have been using Linux since the dawn of XP, dual booting for the sake of gaming, so that's why I'm typing this response on this random forum. I am genuinely disheartened to be parting ways, at this point in my life, from an OS that's given me so much freedom; a freedom that I owe to every one of you who voted Linux.

I still use Windows XP, I have several applications that I cannot find on Linux. (Efficient Reminder, Cybershaman, Ulead Photo Explorer, Ulead Photo Express)

My other O.S. is Linux Mint 17.2, I use both daily and prefer the Skype on linux.

In 2015 I installed Ubuntu 14.4 on a donated desktop. Shortly after I blew Windows 7 from my old HP laptop. I would run NOTHING but Linux on my computers! With the free add-ons (apps) from the Software Center, I can do more than I could possibly do with Windows - especially on a fixed income. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness is more available with Linux than any other operating system(s).

I run Debian testing on both my computers, but recently I couldn't manage to install Trelby on Debian due to apparently unresolvable dependency issues. So I set up Mint 17.3 on both computers in such a way as to minimize the possibility of distractions while working on my screenplay.

I can't imagine a circumstance that would make me return to windows. Well, maybe if Bill Gates gave me a million dollars.

Definitely Linux (Mint 17.2) Only use Windows (XP) where absolutely have to....Update TomTom and some other apps for specific hardware. Rf analysers etc

I would like Linux to be my primary but since I have to support Windows systems almost exclusively I am forced to concentrate on Windows.

Now with all the new quirks and subtelties of Windows 10 to be learned I fear my desired transition to more Linux is going to be delayed again.

HOwever, Microsoft has screwed me and my costomers up so often that I am really on a mission to promote Linux.

I think a first natural fit for the average user is replacing nonsupported XP and soon to be nonsupported Vista with a Windows-like Linux distro such as Zorin or Lubuntu.

Possibly more people will really get ticked off by Microsoft's actions with forced Windows 10 upgrades and realize that Microsoft has demonstrated they can be trusted and that the user really has no control, and seriously consider Linux as an alternative.

I'm Windows 7 now and will be forceably converted to Windows 10 this summer. My Linux work is constrained to my occasional database programming on the company server. My son is trying very hard to get me to go to Linux at home, but I'm resisting.

I use Windows 10 Home but when I feel like a break or Windows gets problematic, I resort to Linux Mint. I just updated to the latest and cannot remember the exact one, though, 17 something. The one after Rebbecca.
