where to put startup commands

Hi,

I have 2 servers one rh9 and one redhat fc3.

Both of these servers always need a command typing in
once they have booted up for the service to work

rh 9 service dansguardian start
fc3 saslauthd -a shadow (email auth)

I have tried to add them to the services which run on bootup but i think they run to soon and fail.

Where else could i add these commands. Does linux have some sort of config file for extra commands which run once all services are up. ?

Nick

you would be better off looking at a proper startup service for these in /etc/init.d however you can add miscellaneous commands to /etc/rc.localto run after all services are done with.
