where to install?
 

I'm trying to install Mozilla and it wants to install it to "/usr/local/mozilla". Should I install it there?
right now I dont want to install it over there because I dont have root access and it doesnt let me to create a directory there. Even if I was logged in as root and I had installed it to that dir, I think I would need to have root access to run mozilla, right?:confused:

so where else can I install it? I'm very new to linux (btw I have Mandrake Linux 8.2, if that helps...)

You shouldn't need root access to access /usr/local .

By default, most users have access rights to that directory and that is where I would actually install Mozilla.

aha!:) worked, but I had to log in as root to install it.....
