Where to find the Folder Preferences Details
Hi,
Where can I find the folder preferences in RH Linux 9. which configuration file has the details. for example, Windows has the settings like, display full path in title bar, launch folder windows in separate process Single click to open an item hide file extensions for known types remember each folders view settings as in tools/folder options in win2k / 98 . Like wise, Can I get the details regarding folders, in Linux. So far, I found that the folder .nautilus/metafiles/ gives some details..... but that is not a generalised format. It gives the settings of each and every folders. I need a more generalised format of folder settings, as in windows. thanks 'n regards, joe. |
Assuming you're talking about Nautilus in Gnome, try Preferences->Edit Preferences

Actually I wish to retrieve all the folder information from any files (if present) or any other means and display it. I need the information from where I could get those details for displaying in my application. thanks 'n regards, joe. |
Oh. Try /home/YOURNAME/.gconf/apps/nautilus/preferences
Failing that, the master should be somewhere like /etc/opt/gnome/.gconf/apps/nautilus/preferences home .nautilus/metafiles refers to metadata such as what size you made the window, AIUI... |
hi oneandoneis2!
