Where is the preference for the background image stored?
 
I've been searching around, but I guess the keywords I'm using are too vague or bring up too many unrelated results. I'm trying to find the file where a user's desktop background is stored; I looked in .gnome2/backgrounds.xml, but it doesn't seem to be there. I can't think where else it would be.

Any input?

/home/"username"/.gconf/desktop/gnome/background/%gconf.xml

Example Fedora 10 : %gconf.xml , text shown in a texteditor :

May be not equal to this on all versions of gnome.
