where is my bash profile?


where do i find my bash profile? as far as i know it isn't in my $HOME/.bash-profile and i sort of need it. slack9, you know. do i need to create one?

actually, it's
$HOME/.bash_profile

If it's not there, just make one.

man bash:

/etc/profile (system-wide)
$HOME/.bash_profile
$HOME/.bash_login
$HOME/.profile

The "."also hides it so you will need to do "ls -a" to show it in a file listing.
