Where can I download Linux distros


I'm currently using Windows XP, and it's pretty ghey, all my online friends tell me to get Linux, so i wanna give it a try, does anyone know where i can download Linux?

You will also note a link here at LQ: Top right--main menu --> Download Linux.

You can download Linux from LQ ISO - see the link for "Download Linux" on the right of this page.

I suggest that you try Ubuntu Linux, which is an excellent distro for newbies. Your best bet is to set up a dual boot system, so you can try Linux and still have Windows available. Also, Ubuntu is a Live CD. This means that you can try it out without installing it - just boot your computer with the CD in.

yeah thats what i want to do have both, do you have AIM so i may contact you for any ?'s

The main point of a forum is so that questions you ask can be searched, so if someone else has the same problem as you then the question has already been answered. Therefore, most members here will not provide answers via email or chat.
