What stores/companies use linux?
 
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.I went to sportmart once and wondered if they use Linux.So I snuck a peek and it turns out that they use Linux but the cash registers at sportchek use windows ME:twocents: .

I think if there are local operating systems at all it is likely to be either something proprietary (e.g. some NCR or IBM cash register software) or UNIX on the back end with dumb terminals on the front end. I know a few years back a big company which will remain nameless but is well known in Bentonville Arkansas wanted to contract me to do a project for the NCR UNIX servers they had in all their stores.

Most companies seems to use Linux for their servers. However, for desktop computing, Windows still rules.
