Arrow what should i put on my slow ibook?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello, i have a 500mhz G3 ibook which has 256mb ram & an ATI Rage 2x AGP 8mb gfx device. i feel OS X 10.4.7 is too bloated and heavy for the little system and want to install a distro which is light (lighter than OS X) & the desktop envirement also has to look semi nice, i looked at XFCE and its not too bad looking.

the distro i think i ok is Xubuntu, any one know if its good for that laptop or should i choose otherwise?

(sorry if this might appear twice, but i seem to have lost the post i made earlier or it never posted right)
