I have recently come across, in several man pages, a reference to a bug in Linux related to CDs. It was described as the Linux iso-9660 filesystem read ahead bug. Could someone explain what this bug is and what it does and if it has been fixed or not. It is in the man page for wodim--- under track options/ padsize. I am asking out of more than idle curiosity--- could this make my back ups un-readable? Thanks a LOT for any help !!!!

It is already in use for years , so I can not imagine that is still a bug in it

Thanks for the info ronlau9 ---- I'm sure you're right--- they must have fixed it by now--- I just get a little jumpy at the thought of finding out that I might have created a pile of back up coasters !!!!!! Hah, hah ........
