what is accessing my drive

What other utility can I use to find out what is constantly polling my hard drive every two seconds?

I have a Mythdora 10.21 box with one IDE and one SATA drive.

I tried using top, but only show lirc_dev and mythfrontend from time to time. I also tried powertop, but only see ata_piix at 16%.

I did the recommended " mount -o remount,noatime / " for powertop.

fuser -m /some/folder/on/that/drive will show you all processes with file open on the partition that that location lives on. additionally lsof will list all open files too. If it's a poll it can be tricky to catch, but these tool should help.
