what is 'crondrestart' in 'service' command

Hi All,

Could you pls tell me what is 'crondrestart' in 'service' command?.

Eg: service nfs crondrestart

Note: Do not confuse 'crondrestart' with 'crond' daemon which is for crontantab service.

Thanks.

Maybe you mean condrestart (without "r"). If this is the case, it is usually a way to restart a service if - and only if - it was already running. I think it is useful in scripts to do a "conditional restart" without explicitly check if the service was already running. It can prevent accidental start of not needed services.
