Lightbulb What is 'Bash'


Sometimes at command line I saw the word bash, what is it ?

But remember, bash is just the shell. It's the program that accesses the unix command prompt, not the command prompt itself. Think of it like running an MS-DOS window in windows. The window only houses dos.
