what format should I rip in?

What music format for ripped tracks burned to a CD is most likely to work on any CD player? I think ever CD I've ever burned was burned in WMA format, so I have no idea if I can expect a CD player to read a CD with tracks that were ripped in this Ogg Vorbis format. For that matter, I don't know if older CD players read MP3, either.

Actually the standard for CD players is in a raw format, like WAV, not WMA, MP3 or OGG. Try googling for audio CD format or cd player format to find out the best way to create CD's that you know will be compatible in almost all cd players.

Some newer cd players will read mp3, not all will though. I have yet to see one that reads OGG format.
