What console cmd can run a html in new tab in firefox?

Well, in Opera I'd use:
Code:
opera -newpage desired.html
and desired.html would appear in running Opera in new tab.
How to do the same with firefox?
I know XChat is able to run an URL in new ff tab, but what console cmd can do it?

Thanks.

You'll have to use the -remote switch to the firefox command. Here is a copy/paste from firefox man page:
Quote:
-remote command
Execute command in an already running Firefox process. For more
info, see: http://www.mozilla.org/unix/remote.html
Example for a new tab:

Code:
firefox -remote "openurl(http://server.com, newtab)"
