website graphics and design software

When I was a Windows user I used Dreamweaver as a graphical web site designer and Xara programs to make buttons, backgrounds, etc.

Are there any program for Linux that I could replace these programs with? I know there are web site editors like Screem that are programmer editors, but I want a graphical editor. Mozilla Composer seems to be the best I can find.

And I don't have *anything* for web graphics yet! =(

The Mozilla suite comes with a so-so WYSIWYG HTML editor, and if you want a HTML editor I suggest you look at Bluefish. The Gimp is excellent for doing graphics.
