Question Web Serving

Hey ppl,

I'm running Red Hat 8 and have worked out how to setup apache php ftp n all that but my question is this...

How would i go about acting like an isp in a way?

What I want to do is provide people with a ppp dial up to my computer via a single modem so that they can, once connected use http://mydomain.com ie localhost for Apache and also FTP access aswell.

I need to know wether RH has the capability to accept incomming ppp connections and how i would go about it...? that and getting the DNS werking for the dialed in user, ie http://mydomain.com werks locally but would it work if i could get the dial in working??

Thanx

Apparently you didn't browse the Howto's at www.tldp.org as there is a howto based on Redhat to setup like a pocket size type ISP...

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/doc...Hat-HOWTO.html

Maybe that will help you get started.
