I would like to host my own webpage wit my own pc

How in the hell do i do it??

Thanks for bearing with my lack of knowledge in this area

I think i will be puttin mandrake on that system

To host your own webpage you will then need a webserver. Apache is your answer. You put all your *.html files or whatever web files in apache's document root. Some distrobutions have different paths for the document root so you will need to look at the apache config files to determine that.

I looked on the menu bar equivalent to windoz start menu and couildnt find it

Its not like an application you startup and interact with in that sense your making it out to be.

May I suggest you do some reading at http.apache.org to learn more about it.
