Web Design Software for interfacing to MySQL on Linux with APACHE
Hi Linux Users,
Please can anyone point me to a good web page design tool which can speed up the use of PHP/HTML to produce a web interface to MySQL running on linux with APACHE. In the windows world there are lots of tools which do this but I cannot find anything which would run on a linux box.
Yes thats right, I already have php and apache installed and i can create very simple web pages using php/apache which communicate to my database (currently postgresql but will be changed to mysql). My aim is to create a more elaborate and easlily maintainable web interface.
I have tried to install Zend but the install script failed - it could not run php - I have contacted them but in the meantime if anyone has hit this problem before please let me know. Maybe its to do with the fact i already have php installed ??? but it seems to be trying to run its own php script.
Having said all of the above do you think its still worth looking at XAMPP ?
