your firewall blocks FTP and HTTP...... ?
lol, get your network manager to drink less coffee !!!!
i tried a network install.... although a network install only requires a 1 gig download (and the iso add up to 2.sumthing) i ended up doing an iso download.
problems with the network install.....
1) it was at first unlear what to answer to the question...|. what folder on the server is Fedora installed.|
eventually discovered it needs /blah/blah/blah/fdeora/linux/core/2/i386/os
2)all the mirrirs had an imcomplete tree.... they missed a file called stage2.img which seems to only be needed for network install. FORCING me to use the main download.fedora.redhat.com http server, which was seriously lagged as you can imagine.
so now im doing a hard disk install.
(burn bootdisk.iso to a cd. boot it with the command "linux asmmethod" and selecting "hard disk install" and the path to the downloaded iso's)
im just checking the MD5's at the moment. maybe il have a funning fedora core 2 withing the hour.
