vsftpd - comment/uncomment question.

I do not understand what mean comment and uncomment.
Does comment mean to add # before command or oposite?

For example if this command will disable anonymus:
Code:
# Allow anonymous FTP?
# anonymous_enable=YES
will this command do the same:

Code:
# Allow anonymous FTP?
anonymous_enable=NO
So if we put all together I do not know understan why we use # if there is possible just to edit from YES to NO.

Yes, commenting something out just means putting a “#” in front of the line. The line will be interpreted as a comment and will not be executed or used as a variable input.

Can't speak directly to your YES/NO question, but configuration files often have non-default options commented out so that you can activate the alternative option by removing the comment mark.

It is typically done this way for the convenience of the user, since you will not have to look up the variable name in order to change the option.
