VPN Client

I need a VPN client for a Linux machine. I don't know anything about VPN and I simply want the most mature and debugged client. What's the most popular VPN client for Linux machines?

Also, the OpenVPN website only takes about a Linux server and a Windows client. Do they pack a Linux client with their software?

vpnc is what I use. It can also connect to Cisco VPN routers.

vpnc? How do you get their software? I browsed http://www.vpnc.org/ for 10 minutes and couldn't find any mention of it.
