VMware in Linux

Well, I downloaded the VMware for linux try and buy thingie, I want to see what its like But I seem to have a problem installing it in slackware, no NOT installing a disto in VMware but installing VMware itself. There are no make files, no configure files, theres an installer for a shell script or something of the like but when I run it, it does nothing.

Does anyone know how to install vmware on linux?
