Virtual Machines
 
I am confused about what are the fundamental differences between the way in which virtualization is performed in VMware and user mode linux? Can anybody help plz?

What do you mean by user mode linux ?? Are you wanting to know the difference between running Linux within VMware compared to running it on its own standalone system without a emulator ??

No user mode linux is a linux port which acts much like a virtual machine running on top of linux. You can check it out on the following website:
