Viewing KDE on a network machine (Remote Desktop)
I have a slackware machine at home without a monitor. I love bash console but sometimes I find myself needing a GUI. Despite my friends negative comments, I was perfectly happy with VNC'ing using binaries found at realvnc.com until someone exploited the server thanks to a rediculous bug in the program (see my thread in Security). Seems my friends were right all along.
I know about using PuTTY with X11 forwarding but I am not interested in installing cygwin on my Windows machine. I'm looking for a better, cleaner solution. I know about Hummingbird Exceed but theres no way I am paying for it.
Is there any other way to view X remotely?
