Video playback support on the Firefox Browser

My browser is Firefox When i surf useing this I encounter a few probs. The major prob was that certian websites
eg: Gamespot , WWE that cotains game videos or any other video does not function under this browser as the site requires windows media player of any other plugins. I have installed the new xine eng & win32 codecs.

How can i use this browser to play these videos on these websites?

PLs show me the methord to configure the browser?

I prefer to use VLC media player and the Firefox VLC plugin. Works for most videos unless they are a codec that you can't get support for like hte very latest MS WMV..
