Very confused
hey guys... i used to be into linux alot.. last year but recently forgot it all...
I tried to install mandrake 10.1 but when i get past the partitions part it tells me no kernal or something to even install it
Heres my partitions pic...

the only thing i can think of is the wrong distro or maybe corrupted download or burn...
Am i suppsed to use this?

Looks fine, but that DVD looks really small, only 1.99GB, should be more like 3.5GB or something like that.

Could you maybe re-download it and burn it again?
I don't recommend using Mandriva (bloated, to much junk).

ok i tried unbuntu lol... and that P.O.S keeps shutting my mouse off... it only lets me click and it opens clock properties and thats it... i try to alt my way to help or something and it doesnt work.
And sometimes it completly shuts my keyboard off also... then i gota wiggle back there and replug them all >.<
same thing with the live cd.... how do i fix it ?

if you are having all those problems then perhaps you should tell us exactly what hardware you have
Mobo, processor, ram, vid card, snd card etc etc
are your keyboard and mouse PS2 or USB or wireless
If Mandrake and Ubuntu and the live CD are giving or appearing to give problems then it may be a hardware issue

i dont have floppy drive.. everything has worked before but i recently bought this new mouse.... how do i make it so it works??> its a GE optical mouse... my other hardwre is fine.

i think floppy was him signing his post....
like he said ,post your hardware specs, it can't hurt, hit your mouse manufacturers website, maybe they have a solution.
can you get hold of a normal PS2 mouse? try that if it works then the prob will be your mouse or USB port (i presume it's USB?)
