Hi,

for installation Symantec SF-HA a trial key is required and the software. Both can be requested from Symantec sales service.

Thumbs up

Veritas Volume manager is a disk volume management tool. If you want to practice cluster from veritas, you have to choose Veritas cluster suite. Other Open Source OS (Fedora, Centos, Open SUSE) has Cluster suite inbuilt.

Points to remember before approaching cluster practice.

1.) Understand Cluster core logic and what purpose cluster is used
2.) Analyze the type of cluster and choose what type you required
3.) Choose the cluster suite and Operating System (where your core OS knowledge should be very strong)
4.) Study the tools behavior and technology hardware requirement
5.) Implement it in your area (Area where you are very strong and a cluster is required )
6.) Prepare a Configuration list and start configuring
7.) Remember a work without proper analysis would result in delay or in failure.

Work Flow:

a.) Define Scope
b.) Requirement gathering
C.) Checklist preparation
d.) Implementation
e.) Testing
f.) Release to production

Best Regards,
