Question UUCP on Linux

Is there a uucp daemon available to run on Linux? Specifically - RedHat 7.2? We need to to be able to transfer tiny files via uucp. Thanks for your help.

Yes there is.

In a terminal type

info uucp

If you are new to using info type ? for help menu

basically typing l (that's el not capital i ) will back you up from a link.

David, thanks for the reply. However:
Yes, I am new to info (man was always OK). But, it should not be that hard, right? Well, I type 'info uucp' and get the info directory. The bottom line says: No menu item 'uucp' in node '(dir)Top'. I study the directions and with confidence type muucp. There is a temporary display of [Not complete] next to the Menu Item: uucp, then it disappears and nothing happens. Does it mean that there is no uucp topic in my RH7.2 distribution? I am incouraged by your 'yes' reply though. Now, I just have to find the docs for it. A hint please?:smash:

I've found it:

Mount CD2 of the distribution pack, then do:

rpm -i /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/uucp-1.06.1-31.i386.rpm

This will install uucp. It still has to be configured, see 'info uucp'.
