Maybe try printing from a different pdf reader
Hi, this sounds like another example of why adobe PDF format must be replaced by an open and universally functional secure document standard. Jack Wallen, who writes a lot of great Linux articles has some ideas for basing this in html5, I think it sounds great.
As for your document problem, I would try printing the file from a different PDF viewer..For instance: Jack Wallen wrote up an article entitled "3 Alternatives to the Adobe PDF Reader on Linux"(10/20/2014) on the linux website about alternative PDF viewers. The viewers Jack suggests are:
Evince
Okular
Chrome-browser-app-based NotablePDF
For more information from Mr. Wallen, plug these into your favorite search engine: jack wallen pdf linux
Another good reader I'd suggest is the Google Chrome web browser itself. When I searched for 1040, I found the tax form PDF online. I then clicked the link and the document opened in Chrome. It works great, I'm even able to fill the form with my keyboard and mouse.
Finally, if you could provide an example file, maybe someone else could test printing it. I have a brother MFC-9320CFW laser printer myself. Sometimes I do experience some weirdness printing from GNU/Linux though.
Congratulations on your GNU/Linux Freedom!!
Good Luck!
