username password forgotten red hat 9

hi bit of a linux newbie here.
I have installed red hat 9,but now have a problem in that I cant log in.
At the end of the install I was asked whether I wanted to create a username /password account etc.I opted no but the system is now asking for the username and password at boot up.
Is there a way round this without having to reinstall?

well judging by your info i am assuming you also didn't type one for root, so when you get that login screen type root for the username, and leave the password blank.
and see if that works..
