USB Support, UHCI (Intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) Support

Hello all,

I want to install USB CD writer on Redhat 7.2, kernel 2.4.17. When I rebuild kernel and choose the UHCI(Intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) Support, this option is grayed out. The UHCI Alternative Driver (JE) support is yes.
So I can not say Y on UHCI(Intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) Support, does anybody have any idea, thank you very much.

Grace
