USB Printer Problem "device not accepting new address"
I have a Samsung 1430 Laser Printer that I'm trying to get working with Mandrake 9.1. I know this printer works well with Linux because the last install of Mandrake 9.1 worked, but since I reformatted and reinstalled Mandrake it hasn't worked. I don't know if I'm missing a package or what; I went into the install packages and installed anything with "USB" in it. I guess I should mention that I'm using the drivers from Samsung (just like before) with CUPS (which I also used before). I have KDE configured to use CUPS, and it reports the printer as idle. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Samsung's drivers and configuration utilites and that hasn't helped either. When I try to print something I see it go to the queue, but my printer never even reacts (meaning the "Data" light never blinks, it never makes any noises).
Here what I get when I cat my /var/log/messages:
Apr 8 19:53:34 cdcustom kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:02.3-1, assigned address 9
Apr 8 19:53:34 cdcustom kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=9 (error=-110)
Apr 8 19:53:34 cdcustom kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:02.3-1, assigned address 10
Apr 8 19:53:34 cdcustom kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=10 (error=-110)
That's the only file I could think of including. If something else would help solve this problem please let me know and I can get it for you.
Thanks in advance to anyone that reads this!
