You can get the unmodified source from www.kernel.org. Edit: don't use "Urgent" in thread titles, it won't help you get a reply any quicker.

Also, since this is not a Red Hat question, I have moved it to Linux-General. And the advice about not using "Urgent" in a thread title is good - just because it's urgent to you doesn't make it urgent to us.

First of all sorry for the misuse in the forum - it's my first day here...
Anyway, I'm looking for the ISO files, the ones that in total are about 2G (4 CD's). I couldn't find it in the link.

The Linux 2.4 Kernel can be downloaded here:

http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.4/

The full Linux Kernel isn't anywhere near 2gb. Are you looking to download a full Linux OS? Which OS are you interested in?

I think lini is after a complete distro with a 2.4 kernel.

Debian Sarge (Deb Stable) gives you the option of either 2.4 or 2.6 kernel.

I am not sure of any other distros still using a 2.4 series kernel, but I guess you could try to get an older version of any distro. What distro are you using at the moment ?

IBall was right - I'm looking for a complete distro with 2.4 kernel. Right now I'm using Fedora Core 4, but it's v2.6.

Is there any particular reason that you want the 2.4 kernel. I believe that 2.6 is supposedly faster and better ??

Just curious, thats all.

I'm doing a project which involves changing the kernel, and it's too complicated to do it in 2.6 (there are some changes from 2.4 that make it much more difficult).

Get slack. It's 2.4.

What is the project if you don't mind the question?

I'm downloading slack, hope it'll be ok.
my project is to write keylogger and an anti-keylooger. That is, a program that logs every key the user hits, and a software that discovers keyloggers.
In order to implement it I have to change some of the system calls, and therefore I need the sys_call_table, which is no longer exposed in the 2.6 version. I found a patch which helped me extern the table, but there are still problems with this (all the header files are different and the linker has many problems). I understood that in 2.4 version it should be OK.
BTW, does anyone have any idea of how to implement the anti-keylogger?
