urgent help in recovery


Hey ppl I am a newbie using SuSE linux 9.2 on an
intel P4 2.66 ghz
256 mb ram
the problem is that i updated my system via internet
on FRIDAY 28-10 but now when i reboot my system
when the time of showing the screen for username
and password comes the monitor screen blinks twice
it shows blue , then black , then blue then black
all this in within 2 seconds and then nothing
i dont see anything the monitor remains on not in
standby mode my monitor is
VIEW SONIC E-651 also my graphic card is
Nvidia Riva TNT2 and i was using it earlier as 2d
card because of absence of drivers but
yersterday i updated its drivers , here are some names
I copied these names and these are the names of RPM that i downloaded on friday before that problem
arose


tcpdmp
nvidia
driver
imlib
imlib-config
imlib-devel
3d gfs
acpid
acpi
events
kdemultimedia3
xntp


CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM OR REVERT THE CHANGES SO I CAN RUN MY SYSTEM WITH PREVIOUS CONFIGS
I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR so please tell me in detail what to do please i feel addicted to my linux and
simply cant use my pc in windows now i have had switched to suse from windows
