Lightbulb URGENT--can this be done in Linux??--remote downloading question

I have two computers--one is hooked up to a high-speed cable connection and the other is connected to a 33.6 kbps dial-up modem. Unfortunetaly, I only have access to the high-speed machine during the day. As a frequent downloader of Usenet attatchments, and since I have ample storage space on the high-speed machine, I am wondering if it is possible to tell the high-speed machine to download usenet attatchments from the low-speed machine. (For clarity's sake, I am talking about computer one sending computer two a message telling it to download a usenet attachment to computer two's hard drive). The remote usenet downloader must have yEnc decoding abilities. I realize this sounds rather complex--if anyone has any ideas please reply--I'm very interested, that is, if you can decode this message!

Check http://freshmeat.net.
I used to use one writen in Perl, you would just kick off
and it would download and decode everything on the list.

You could of course run as a cron.

Setting up cron jobs is really pretty simple.
The man page is lay it out pretty well.
Yours, is pretty simple you probley want to run everyday
at a certain time. You can also run crons under your user account.
