Urgent attention

essential-20050412.tar.bz2
I have downloaded the above file.

Is the following command correct one for decompressing it?
tar -xvzf /home/ka/essential-20050412.tar.bz2

Try instead:

Code:
tar -xvjf /home/ka/essential-20050412.tar.bz2
Note the 'j', which is for extracting .bz2. The 'z' option is for .gz archives.
