Urgent

Finally got PClinuxOS to install on USB drive but it would not boot. I reinstalled it and rebooted and it still got error no NTDLR. I decided to wait till tomorrow and rebooted my system. Changed the boot device back to the internal drive with win***sXP and up comes a command line with grub (or something like that) what do I do. I rebooted from the live disk to the USB drive and looked in the main drive everything is still there. Can this be fixed?????????

Someday I will Learn to back-up my drive

No worries. Your data is not lost. You just need to fix the boot loader or edit the GRUB entries. That way you can boot into Linux or Windows. To do this we need more information, such as how you partitioned your drives and what your current GRUB entry looks like right now.

You can also use the Windows recovery CD to fix the boot loader.

More people will respond to your post if you put a description in the title instead of "Urgent" or "Please Help" and to move your post back to the top just post on the same one, what I mean is reply to your first one again and it will move it back to the top. The moderator will most likely delete your posts if you post like this. Just thought I would let you know because I have been in your position before. The best thing to do is search this forum and search google.

Please post your thread in only one forum. Posting a single thread in the most relevant forum will make it easier for members to help you and will keep the discussion in one place. This thread is being closed because it is a duplicate.

Also, yes, your thread title sucks. If everyone titled their questions as "Urgent", it would make browsing the forums here very difficult and we most likely wouldn't have 3 million posts and thousands of members. The site would have died off years ago.

So before you decide to create another thread, read this post that happens to be a sticky in this very forum (it also has plenty of other good info): http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...95#post1730795

I'm closing this thread now since you double posted it, another no no. Next time read the rules you agreed to when you registered for this site.
