UPS Info

I've read the UPS-HOWTO but haven't gleamed from it the one question that I'd like to know:

Which models of UPS's work well with Linux? Any one have actual on-the-ground experience with a recent model low-end UPS?

Thanks in advance.

Define "work well". Any UPS will protect the system from power fluctuations and outages. It only becomes important if you are looking for advanced power management features like automated shutdowns when the system goes to battery and things like that.

APC is probably your best choice for advanced features. Any model that supports APC powerchute plus software will work fine.

I apologize; by "work well" I mean that it uses APM features, including automated shutdown on power failure.

Thanks
