I have just installed the free version of xandros 301 and it has an older version of Firefox 1.0.7 how and where can i go to get 1.5 for this version of xandros

The update icon on the desktop or in the system tray. You probably need to do a Xandros update first. They use SP like windows so check what the newest one is and update it first before you update any other programs.

Better yet dump Xandros and get something like MEPIS or PCLinuxOS.

Xandros will not be providing an update to 1.5.0, however they say it will be included with the next release of the OS. Just download the .tar.gz file, and install it in a directory different from where Xandros has installed the earlier version. It will not be included in the 'Launch' menu so you will need to create
a desktop link. You can leave the earlier version where it is or uninstall it via Xandros update.

When I installed 1.5.0 it searched out the earlier version and copied the
bookmarks and personal toolbar so it was a quick, easy and effective installation.
