I'm looking for some semblance of a how-to on the process to upgrade from Redhat 7.3 to RHEL 4.0.
I realize that this question is a mixed bag. Normally I "upgrade" by backing up essential services and doing a re-install, but at this phase I'm fairly certain an in-place upgrade is what is required.
Does anyone here have some working knowledge of how this is done? Any email, web link or good advice will be much appreciated.

I don't know of any good way to upgrade RedHat that actually works well without creating problems. In my experience a clean install is the best bet.
That's unfortunately what I've experienced as well. I've googled for days for documents but the evidence seems to point to a re-install unless you are running one of Redhat's full versions (eg. RHEL3, etc.) in which case there is a fairly clear upgrade path.
