unable to view .vsd files (Visio Files)

I looked for this a while ago, and was wondering If anyone here had a solution?

I am unable to open .vsd files.

I struck out w/Dia, is anyone able to view vsd files through Linux?

Thanks,
manny

It seems that It maybe possible for Visio to save output in an AutoCAD file format?

I could request the sender (Visio/Windows user) to do this If I don't find a .vsd solution....

Thanks,
manny

Just to bump this back up, what software can I use to open .vsd files?

Yeah, I'm in the same boat.
I'm the only Linux desktop user in a Windows-based office.
All our production machines are Unix, so having *ix at my fingertips helps.
But when the network and application diagrams start flying out in .vsd files, I'm hosed.

As far as my research shows, there is no app that will load vsd files in Linux. There is
an ole2 lib for Linux (vsd files are OLE stream files) but that and $1.50 will get you a latte.

I would just use CrossOver Office with Visio if the Visio license wasn't $400/person.....

Forget Visio. Where are you getting $1.50 lattes?

Seriously, I've had the same problem. Can Visio export to a more common/open format, which could then be imported by Kivio/Dia?

Can Visio open .dia files? I'm just curious.
