unable to cpio the file


Hi all,

I was unable to cpio the file and below is what I have:

-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle oinstall 683621376 Mar 16 14:28 ship.db.lnx32.cpio


it's not giving me any errors, neither doing anything.

can somoene please give me some advises???

Do you mean that you are unable to extract that file? What is the command you are using?

hi,

open shell box go to the proper path
cpio -idmv < ship.db.lnx32.cpio
that is all
