Umask - Settings

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to set UMASK dependant to a director y. For example, I would like to set /home/user to UMASK 077 and /srv/www/ to UMASK 002.

Is this possible? I think you can set each share with a different UMASK if you are using samba, but I am not. I will be connecting to these dirs by ssh and sftp.

Thanks for your help!

Well, umask= is a mount option for some filesystems. Might be worth playing around with.

If a different user account will be logging in (via ssh) and accessing /home/user than the account that logs in and access /srv/www, you could always add the umask in their respective ~/.profile files.
